KESAKSIAN SEORANG PILOT TENTANG BENCANA ALAM DI PALU

         Hari ini gereja saya Duta Injil BIP kedatangan Pilot Batik Air, Captain Mafella, yg memberikan kesaksian kenapa dia mempercepat penerbangannya 3 menit dr jadwal yg sdh ditentukan di Bandara Palu kemarin.

        Beliau cerita bahwa sepanjang hari hatinya merasakan kegelisahan yg dia sendiri tdk tahu kenapa. Utk mengusir rasa kegundahan hatinya sepanjang perjalanan dr Ujung Pandang ke Palu, Ia menyanyi lagu2 rohani dgn nada keras (biasanya sy hanya bersenandung sj, tapi hari itu sy ingin memuji Tuhan sebaik2nya, ktnya). Sampai Co-Pilotnya yg muslim menyarankan sambil bercanda supaya dia membuat CD lagu rohani.

       Ketika hendak mendarat di bandara Palu, udara terlihat cerah tp angin terlalu kencang dan Ia mendengar suara dalam hatinya utk memutar sekali di udara sblm landing.

Letak bandara Palu  diapit oleh 2 pegunungan dan itu mengingatkannya  dgn ayat Mazmur 23:4:
"Sekalipun aku berjalan dalam lembah kekelaman, aku tidak takut bahaya sebab Engkau besertaku: gadaMu dan tongkatMu, itulah yang menghibur aku".
"I may walk through valleys as dark as death but I wont be afraid. You are with me and your shepherd's rod makes me feel safe".

       Menurut sang Captain, bandara yg terletak diapit  pegunungan bagi seorang pilot disebut lembah kematian karena mereka harus ekstra hati2 ketika landing dan ayat Mazmur 23:4 (sebutannya Mazmur DjiSamSoe adalah pegangan para Pilot yg Kristiani).

      Sesaat setelah pswt sukses landing, Ia mendengar suara di hatinya utk lekas pergi dari bandara  itu. Oleh karena itu dia menginstruksikan crewnya agar beristirahat 20 menit saja sebelum pswt kembali pulang ke Jakarta via Ujung Pandang.

       Ia bahkan tidak turun dr cockpit pesawat dan meminta ijin kpd Menara Control utk mempercepat lepas landas 3 menit dari jadwal yg sdh ditentukan.

Setelah ia mendapatkan izin take off dari Alm. Agung, mereka bersiap lepas landas.

Captain Mafella mengakui saat itu ia melanggar prosedur penerbangan karena ia mengambil alih tugas Co-Pilot dengan menambah kecepatan pesawat saat prosesi take off. Dia sendiri tdk tahu kenapa tapi tangannya trs memegang tuas agar kecepatan lebih besar supaya badan pesawat lebih cepat merangkak naik (istilah mobil di-gas poll).

       Saat itu dia tdk tahu kl gempa sdh melanda Palu tp dia merasa pesawat sedikit oleng ke kiri dan kanan. Menurutnya kalau sj dia terlambat 3 menit, maka dia tdk bs menyelamatkan 140 penumpang karena aspal pacuan landas bandara bergelombang seperti kain ditiup angin!

Beberapa menit selepas take off, dia mencoba menghubungi pihak menara namun sdh tdk dijawab lagi oleh Agung.

       Dia menengok kebawah dan melihat fenomena alam yg aneh. Air laut di pinggir pantai membentuk lubang yg sangat besar sehingga dasar laut terlihat.

Ketika pesawat tiba di Ujung Pandang, barulah mrk diberitahu bahwa telah terjadi gempa dan tsunami di Palu dan pegawai menara control yg memandu pesawatnya take off telah gugur sesaat setelah memastikan pesawatnya lepas landas.

       Tadi siang sebelum ia bertolak terbang ke KL, Captain Mafella menegaskan pentingnya kita harus peka mendengar suara Tuhan. Dan dalam situasi apapun harus tetap tenang jangan panik supaya bisa jelas mendengar suara Tuhan yg disampaikan melalui Roh Kudus karena dia menambahkan bahwa ketika ia mengambil alih tugas co-pilot utk menambah kecepatan, sang co pilot terlihat ketakutan melihat badan pesawat oleng ke kiri dan ke kanan.

Kesaksiannya saya bagi supaya kita bisa memetik pesan moral dan mendapatkan berkat dari kesaksian Captain Mafella hari ini. Amin
